2. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you submit the free solar contract review form or call us, we may collect:

  • First and last name
  • Phone number and email address
  • Details about your solar agreement, such as whether you leased or financed the panels and whether you believe you were misled or pressured
  • Any additional details you choose to share on a call

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we and our analytics and advertising partners may collect IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, and interaction events such as clicking a phone link or submitting the form.

Marketing attribution data. We record campaign parameters that appear in the URL you arrive on, including UTM parameters, Google Click Identifier (gclid), Meta Click Identifier (fbclid), and affiliate network click identifiers, so we can attribute a lead to the ad that produced it.

We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or health information. Please do not send us sensitive information of that kind.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To contact you about the free contract review you requested, by phone, text message, or email
  • To review your solar lease, PPA, loan, or purchase agreement and explain the options that may be available to you
  • To determine state-specific eligibility for our services
  • To respond to questions, requests, and customer service issues
  • To measure, attribute, and improve the performance of our advertising and this website
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and invalid or duplicated form submissions
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use

We rely on your consent (for marketing contact and non-essential cookies), the performance of a service you requested, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing our business.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties for their independent marketing. We share information only as follows:

  • Consultation partners. Vetted specialists, advocates, and where relevant independent licensed attorneys or firms who perform the contract review you requested.
  • Service providers. Hosting, form and CRM platforms, telephony and SMS providers, email delivery, analytics, and fraud prevention vendors acting on our instructions.
  • Advertising and measurement partners. Google, Meta, and our affiliate network receive event and identifier data used for conversion measurement and audience optimization.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Certain sharing with advertising partners may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws. See "Your Privacy Rights" below to opt out.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Interest-Based Advertising

We use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies for essential site functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement. Partners may include Google Analytics and Google Ads, the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel and Conversions API, Google Tag Manager, and an affiliate click-tracking platform.

You can control this tracking in the following ways:

Our site honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where required by law.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Your Privacy Rights (California and Other States)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how we use it; access or receive a copy of your information; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may also request the categories of personal information collected, disclosed, or shared in the preceding 12 months. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights, including the right to appeal a denied request.

To exercise a right, including "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information," email privacy@solarcancellationhub.com or call (877) 511-8931. We will verify your request using the contact details we have on file and respond within the time frame required by law (generally 45 days). An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission.

8. Data Retention and Security

We retain lead and consultation records for as long as needed to provide the service and to satisfy legal, tax, and TCPA record-keeping obligations — generally up to five years from your last interaction with us — after which we delete or de-identify them.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and vendor due diligence. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

This site is intended for homeowners aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact privacy@solarcancellationhub.com and we will delete it.

11. U.S. Audience and Data Location

Our services are offered to residents of the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the U.S.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
